Don't Close the Irish Embassy in Iran!

Tá sé beartaithe ag rialtas in Éirinn deireadh a chur le hambasáid na hÉireann i Tehran! 'Sé barúil roinnt nach beag Iaránach agus Éireannach gur masla dóibh é seo (fá choinne cianóga rua a shábháilt, mar dhea!). Cuma cé ar mhaithe leis atáthar á dhéanamh, tá leas eacnamaíochta na hÉireann san Iaráin, sna blianta atá romhainn, á chaitheamh le gaoith. Fíor le rá, geibheann Éire tairbhe eacnamaíochta ó mhic léinn PhD agus ó fhochéimithe Iaránacha i bhfad níos mo ná costas ambasáide bige i Tehran.

دولت ایرلند به تازگی تصمیم گرفته است که سفارت ایرلند درتهران را به دلیل صرفه جویی اقتصادی ببندد. باور ما بر این است که این تصمیم ازهرزاویه ایی که بنگریم اشتباه میباشد. از نظر اقتصادی ، فرهنگی و علمی در راستای منافع مردم ایرلند نمی باشد زیرا که اگر برای نمونه فقط منفعت ایرلند در جذب داشنجویان تحقیقاتی، نخبگان دورهء دکترا و حتی کارشناسی در نظر گرفته شود در مقایسه با اندک هزینهء باز نگه داشتن سفارت ایرلند در تهران منافع آن به مراتب بیشتر میباشد

A government has decided to close down the Irish Embassy in Tehran! Many Iranian/Irish see the embassy closure (to save pennies, if you believe it!) as a slight against them. For whatever greater purpose is now being served, the economic interests of Ireland in Iran, in years to come, are being squandered. Irish economical interests are a lot in the heart of middle east. Gain only from the Iranian research students, PhDs, and even undergraduate students is far greater than the little cost of running a small Embassy in Tehran.

The embassy has been there since 1976, and it is serving the people of Iran and also Pakistan and Afghanistan , so to look at as a hub serving well over 250 million people and the cost of running it will be easily paid, in order to begin more trade and tourism and education purposes will definitely pay to keep it open.
