This is a campaign by British Students to have Dancesport included in the Olympics as a Demonstration sport in London 2012.
The host city has an option to include a sport of its choice in the olmpics to show case its talents. Dancesport has recognition as an olypic sport (see http://www.idsf.net/index.tpl?id=9) but has not yet been included.
Blackpool and the UK is the home of Dancesport and hosts high profile events every year. We would like you to sign this to encourage the British Olympic Committee to include this in London 2012 and work with the IDSF to raise the profile of this sport.
Recent TV programs, media as well as the names on this list will be used to demonstrate the support for this petition.
We, the undersigned, ask you to do all you can to ensure that Dancesport is included in the 2012 olympics, in order to create a long awaited opportunity for thousands of British dancers.
