Since the early 1900's, the people of Buck and Elk Creeks in Martin County, Kentucky have endured deplorable water quality. Seeing as there are so many homes with straight pipes in the area, E. Coli levels have skyrocketed.
In partnership with Morehead State University, we have seen areas with over twenty times the legal limit of E. Coli This is a major problem seeing as so many children and animals populate the area. We can overlook it no longer.
Something must be done.

We, the undersigned citizens of Martin County, call upon the State of Kentucky to solve our health crisis by placing a sewer system in the area.
