Petition Background (Preamble):
This petition is to inform the FCC and the Federal Government that we are tired of hearing the word 'Goddamn' on the three primary network television channels and basic cable channels during hours that children are watching. We want this word to be censored during the day and during primetime programming (7:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. in all time zones).
Just like other words that have been banned from the television because of the impact they have on certain groups in our society, the word 'Goddamn' is offensive to many in our society.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Federal Communications Commission to censor the word 'Goddamn' or 'Goddamned' from the three primary network television channels and basic cable channels during daytime programming and during primetime programming (7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in all time zones).
