Give Human Education a priority over Dog Legislation

We the undersigned call on the Government of the U.K. to introduce Canine Safety Awareness and Responsibility into the National Curriculum in order that all children understand the responsibilities involved in owning a dog and are aware of how to behave around dogs to ensure their personal safety.

We believe that introducing this into the National Curriculum will significantly reduce the number of dog attacks on children and in time will reduce the number of dangerous uncontrolled dogs within our society.

Promoting this will also reduce dog fouling and intimidation on our streets and in public spaces.
