Petition Background (Preamble):
Heinz baked beans are not baked, they are in fact stewed, and this is mis-information and as a result we believe that the product in question should either be re-named 'Stewed Beans' or they should actually bake them as stated on the label. We believe this to be mis-leading to the consumer.
Petition:
We are asking people to sign as we feel that selling a product as 'Baked' when in fact it is 'Stewed' is false advertising, as I'm sure some of the health conscious among us will be aware that certain cooking methods lower the amount of nutrients in the food.
