Petition Background (Preamble):
The Flagler Beach Pier Restaurant lease is coming up for new tenancy in March 2012. Many local restauranteers have been waiting patiently for this opportunity. The Flagler Fish Company is one of them and they are actively pursuing this opportunity. Another party who is not a local Flagler County resident is trying to assume this lease prior to the expiration in 2012.
Petition:
We are asking you today to please support the opportunity for local Flagler County restaurant operators such as The Flagler Fish Company who have been waiting patiently for this opportunity. In doing so, we ask the City of Flagler Beach to wait until closer to the end of the lease term in 2012 before entering into an agreement with a new Lessee.
