Petition signer's comment:
Savannah cats and all other hybrids between domestic cats and wild felids pose a great threat to australian wildlife. Their cost/value may ensure a high level of care and prevent them from becoming a problem in the short term but once breeding populations are established in Australia it will only be a matter of time, even if measured in decades, before their value drops and escapees establish feral populations. Feral cats are a big enough problem without a huge boost to their genetic potential.
